On Friday, October 4th, West Washington (WW) played Perry Central. The final score was 16-6, and the Perry Central Commodores took the win.
The Senators lined up before the game for senior night. All fall sports seniors were recognized for their work and dedication to the school.
“We are proud of our seniors and appreciate the example they have set for the rest of our team. They have shown great commitment and dedication to our program. They are a fine group of high-character young men who have been great teammates and very coachable,” head coach Jeremy Lowery said.
This week WW is on Fall Break but the Senators are still preparing for their game at the end of the week. The team has adjusted their practice schedule because of the break. “This becomes a bit of a balancing act because we have a game to prepare for, but we also feel this is a great time for a well-needed break. We plan to give our kids a short break returning to practice on Tuesday night and catching back up by practicing Friday morning. We also are practicing later in the evening to give our kids more free time during the day.” Lowery said.
On Friday, October 11th WW will play Crawford County. “Our next opponent is Crawford County. They have done a good job building their numbers this year and their team is improving each week,” Lowery said. The game is at Crawford County and kickoff is at 7 p.m.
