West Washington (WW) Football shutout Crawford County on October 11th. The final score was 34-0. “We were very pleased with how our team prepared for the Crawford game considering the fact that we were on Fall Break and a modified practice schedule,” Jeremy Lowery, head coach said.

The positive attitude of the team made a large contribution to their win. “Our energy and effort was really good all week and it showed on Friday,” Lowery said.

This week during practice the WW Senators will strive to improve. “We need to continue to dial into the finer techniques and details to improve our play as we close out the season and enter the playoffs,” Lowery said.

Securing a win at this point in the season is crucial moving forward. “Stringing a couple of wins together to close out the season is huge in creating momentum into the tournament. Getting hot at the right time is a key factor in postseason success,” Lowery said.

This week on October 18th WW will play their rival school Salem. The game is at Salem and kickoff is at 7 p.m. The Senators plan to prepare like they would for any competition. “We will treat this week like any other. Our kids will naturally be fired up and excited,” Lowery said.

“Our success will be determined by our preparation, attention to detail, and how well we execute on Friday,” Lowery said.
