Due to widespread illness, schools all over Indiana have had to go virtual or miss days of school. This has also affected many sporting events. The West Washington (WW) Boys Basketball Team has had to reschedule two games.

On the 30th WW competed against Lanesville. The final score was 66-81 Lanesville. “I thought we attacked gaps and played really well in the half-court against their zone offensively. We got to the right spots and when we got to the right spots good things happened. We have to get better in transition both defensively and offensively and avoid unforced turnovers,” head coach Ashton Minton said.

The team is in the middle of their season and focusing on improving their weaknesses in practice. “At this point in the season, we get up a lot of shots and focus on the weaknesses from each game. We also break down film one or two times a week depending on our schedule. Film allows us to see our mistakes and then we can go improve those mistakes in practice the following days,” Minton said.

WW intended to play Crawford County on Thursday the 6th, but the game has now been moved to Tuesday the 11th.
