After consultation with local health care providers and new guidance from ISDH we have generated a breakdown of student return to school-
Any abnormal symptom for your child that is undiagnosed.
10 days isolation (out of school) UNLESS
Alternate Diagnosis from a physician’s office with a return to school date.
Fever in excess of 100 degrees.
10 days isolation (out of school) UNLESS
Alternate Diagnosis from a physician’s office with a return to school date. AND
Be 24 hours fever free without medication
No symptoms but had a Covid Test
Anyone in the household that was not isolated from the individual being tested MUST quarantine until a NEGATIVE result is shared with the school.
Household members in close contact may return to school when a NEGATIVE result is shared with the school and we confirm receipt of the result.
Individual tested may return to school when a NEGATIVE result is shared with the school and we confirm receipt of the result.
If you were instructed by the health department to get a test because you were considered in “close contact”, you must finish your 14 day quarantine regardless of test result.
Symptoms and a Covid Test
Anyone in the household that was not isolated from the individual being tested MUST quarantine until a NEGATIVE result is shared with the school.
Household members in close contact may return to school when a NEGATIVE result is shared with the school AND if they have NO symptoms AND we confirm receipt of the result.
Individual tested may return to school when a NEGATIVE result is shared with the school and we confirm receipt of the result. AND
Alternate Diagnosis from a physician’s office with a return to school date.
ANY POSITIVE COVID TEST OF A STUDENT, STAFF MEMBER OR HOUSEHOLD MEMBER OF A STUDENT OR STAFF MEMBER SHOULD BE REPORTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
In instances where your child rides the bus we need to be notified the day before of the NEGATIVE result and ALTERNATE DIAGNOSIS so we have ample time to notify the bus driver that they can pick up your child. .
