West Washington will utilize a Digital Day the weekend of February 2-5. The digital day is an opportunity to not only make up one of the days missed due to inclement weather, but it is also an opportunity for our students to practice important 21st Century Skills.
Students will have a window from Friday after school to Tuesday morning when school begins to complete their assigned work. We will not be in session on Monday.
Students are responsible to complete ALL work just like a normal school day and there will be consequences for incomplete work.
Wi-Fi Internet Access will be needed to complete the work for the day. If you do not have access to Wi-Fi at home or have arrangements to access Wi-Fi somewhere else West Washington School will be open from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 3rd.
Enter through Door 2 and report to the HS Library on that day.
Transportation will be available upon request, simply call the Corporation office by Wednesday 3:00 pm and leave your address, children’s names and phone number.
Those needing transportation will receive a call on Friday with a time frame that your child will be picked up in the morning and dropped off in the afternoon.
Lunch will NOT be served so students are encouraged to bring money for the vending machines or bring a snack along with them.
Teachers are required to be available from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm on Saturday February 3rd and will respond to questions during that time. Their google classroom Digital Day page will tell you the individual teacher’s preferred method of communication.
The teacher should be your first point of contact, but if you need additional help you can contact Digital Day Help at the email address digitaldayhelp@wwcs.k12.in.us, or by phone at 812-896-6461 or 812-755-4872.
