Academic Accomplishments: Darcy has been a mainstay on the high school A/B honor roll and is just a few credits from completing her first semester of college.
\r\nExtracurricular Activities and Accomplishments: Darcy participates in volleyball and track at West Washington. She earned Player of the Match 5 times this year. Darcy also received the Senator Most Scored Points Award for track this year. Darcy’s additional extracurricular activities include National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America (FFA), and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). In fact, Darcy has earned her Indiana State degree in FFA as a Senator.
\r\nDual Credit Courses: Darcy participates in many dual credit courses including: American Literature and Calculus. Both of these courses are advanced and college level courses, which are helping her prepare for college.
\r\nCommunity Service: Darcy volunteers with an organization called CASA to help pack bags for kids. She also volunteers with Dare to Care to help pass out food to citizens in need.
\r\nFuture Plans: “My plans after high school include going to college either at Indiana University Southeast or Indiana University Bloomington to major in Sports Marketing and Management; Potentially being an athletic director or a marketing agent for a college sports team,” shared Darcy.
\r\nHow has West Washington helped you prepare for your future plans? “West Washington High School has helped me prepare for my future plans by offering dual credit courses that will help me prepare myself for college. Being in extracurriculars and being a full-time student has also helped me be more driven and better at time management,” Darcy explained.
\r\nDarcy has made a lasting impression on West Washington over the years:

She puts forth all of her effort all the time and is always wanting to know how to better herself. Being good isn't good enough for Darcy, she wants to be great.
